| New Innovative Way to Take Up Tolerances! Smalley Linear Springs are a continuous wave-formed (marcelled) wire length produced from spring-tempered materials. They act as a load-bearing device, having approximately the same load/deflection characteristics as a wave spring. Linear Springs are now available as a standard part in carbon and stainless steel, with over 200 sizes.

| MICROMO Introduces the new FAULHABER IEH2-4096 Encoder The new FAULHABER IEH2-4096 integrated encoder offers higher resolution, an expanded operating temperature range and improved speed control, especially in the low speed range. The new model lengthens the motor by just 1.4 mm and can be combined with numerous precious metal commutated DC micro motors. Because these are used in very small machines and assemblies, size plays a decisive role.

| Mini card enables wireless voice communications The PX4 from MEN Micro is a mobile phone voice interface PCI Express Mini Card that provides cost-effective wireless audio transmissions in rugged, mobile applications such as railway and on-road vehicle networks. The card can be integrated into MEN Micro's full line of rugged, flexible box PCs, allowing voice and phone functionality across many popular communication networks to be easily incorporated into a mobile system. Developers no longer need to implement a separate, costly audio system that enables the driver to call the control room or the control room to make an announcement to the passengers, for example.

| Spherical washers optimize bolt mounting SKF Spherical Washers optimize bolt mounting of machinery and bolted equipment by integrating unique design features that promote ideal performance in industrial, marine, and all other heavy-duty bolted joint applications. The all-spherical, two-piece washer automatically adjusts under compression to compensate for up to 4 degrees of angular deviations. This creates an exact parallel plane between the inner face of the bolt head and inner face of the nut to distribute the load evenly over the entire inner contact surface areas. This also serves to reduce the likelihood of bolt relaxation by distributing bolt tension evenly.

| Speed assembly, ensure complete cures Dymax adhesives formulated with new Encompass technology incorporate the company's patented See-Cure color-change and Ultra-Red fluorescing technologies into one light-curable product. As a result, manufacturers gain efficiencies from rapid, on-demand curing with easy cure confirmation and post-cure bond-line inspection. While in an uncured state, an adhesive formulated with See-Cure technology is blue in color for easy verification of placement. As the product cures with sufficient exposure to UV light, its blue color transitions to colorless and provides obvious visual confirmation that the adhesive is fully cured and the bond site secure. Dymax offers several medical-grade adhesives that are formulated with the new Encompass technology.

| High speed without sacrificing torque The TMK series line of torque motors from ETEL is the result of market demand for higher-speed rotary motors that maintain the amount of torque provided in other models, such as ETEL's TMB series. Due to its unique rotor design, which utilizes buried magnet technology along with field weakening, it is able to rotate with speeds of up to nine times greater than a typical torque motor's standard working speeds. And with the buried magnet technology also providing a higher flux concentration, the TMK series motors can produce up to 30 percent more continuous torque compared to traditional torque motors of the same size. Liquid cooling increases its continuous torque even further. This model is making its debut at the IMTS show and won an innovation award at the Industrie Paris 2014 tradeshow.

| Videos+: Technologies and inspiration in action | One-wheeled motorcycle-like scooter See the RYNO in action, a self-balancing, one-wheeled prototype electric scooter that lets you ride "in between the cracks of urban transportation." Chris Hoffman, RYNO's CEO and chief creator, says the scooter is "regulated in the city at 12.5 mph just like any other mobility scooter," but comes preloaded with way more fun. Although it still hasn't rolled into showrooms, the aim of the latest model is to "pack 4 horsepower into the wheel ... with 2,000 Watts of motor power, this thing will climb a wall." Twin removable, rechargeable battery packs provide an estimated range of 25 miles.
