Ferrari's latest creation is its most extreme ever. The 986-hp SF90 Stradale is the Prancing Horse's first series production plug-in hybrid-electric vehicle, and the company says it needs all-wheel drive "to allow the incredible power unleashed by the hybrid powertrain to be fully exploited." That means 0 to 60 in 2.5 sec. Wow. Hope it comes with designer neck restraints!

 | KLM invests in Flying-V blended wing concept aircraft research
Is "V" the shape of things to come? With their eyes on sustainability, lightweighting, and efficiency, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines has signed a new cooperative agreement to work with Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands to further develop the blended wing, boomerang-shaped "Flying-V" aircraft design, which aims to carry the same number of passengers as the Airbus A350 (314) but use 20 percent less fuel.

How Nord-Lock washers work
Can you get a design and functional edge with a wedge? In this animated video, Nord-Lock explains the principle behind their original wedge-locking technology, which secures bolted joints -- even when exposed to severe vibration and dynamic loads. The company says it is impossible for this washer type to loosen unintentionally, due to the wedge created underneath the bolt head and nut.
